What We Do
Fire protection goes beyond just sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and alarms. A crucial component of total fire protection is compartmentation, or firestopping, which helps to contain flames, gases, and smoke to the room of origin and improve life safety. Firestopping seals openings created by wiring, piping, joints, and gaps in walls, floors, and other penetrations, ensuring that specified fire/smoke barriers maintain their fire-resistance ratings.
At NFS, we specialize in repairing these openings and restoring barriers to the NFPA 101 Life Safety code. We take a proactive approach to firestopping and fire barrier management, providing timely and thorough documentation, along with before and after photos and final reporting to keep our clients informed every step of the way.
